Margarita is the owner of the Dominguez Art Gallery. She was born in Uruguay, South America, lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and since 1986 she resides in Canada.

Although Margarita has a Major in English literature, a Minor in French language and a recent diploma in Web Development for the passed thirty years she has been working in the art environment. Margarita's aunt and uncle were both artists and with them she lived a wonderful artistic childhood.

From a young age, they took her to art schools, theatres, antique and art restoration studios, vernissages, and coffee shops filled with artists and writers, Les Cafes des Artistes.

Once in Canada, the French artistic environment from Quebec City completely seduced her. She felt like being home again and as part of the Avant-Garde generation, where culture always needs to be the country's priority.

The love for culture of Louis XIV is reflected everywhere in Quebec. The city's architectural style, its gigantic frescos describing French Canadian history, the bohemian coffee shops and magnificent art shows stand up as emblems of respect for universal heritage and Canadian values.

Consequently, it was for this new feeling of patriotism to Canada that Margarita decided to travel across the country to the Pacific ocean. She did not want to miss knowing the ancient old growth forest of British Columbia. At this point, was when the dilemma began for her. The gigantic frescos from Quebec city where now compared to the 300 hundred old cedars, but at the end, Mother Nature won over Margarita's heart.

She arrived to a small rural community in Vancouver Island called, Sooke, which is located a 40 kilometers from Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. It is an adorable little town filled with arts & crafts and driftwood works. It has only three red lights, plenty of beautiful and cozy B & B and restaurants, and magnificent beaches, marinas and trails.

In 2005, without being able to live without art, Margarita began setting up her own fine art gallery to represent artists from different cultures.
